New York, May .30. The Japanese Association of : San Francisco has made a demand for special police protection for Japanese, in order to prevent international trouble and possibly bloodshed.
In the letter conveying this request, the members of the association call attention to the fact that the acts of violence inflicted upon the Japanese are largely the result of racial prejudice. 1 The Japanese only, they say, are insulted and attacked,: Asiatics of .other races being spared. V
