AGRARIAN OUTRAGES IN IRELAND.
ALLEGED WIDESPREAD V CONSPIRACY. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— (Received May 30, 9.22 p.m.) London, May 30. The ; Chief Secretary for Ireland (Mr. Birrell), in the House of Commons yesterday, admitted that Judge Ross had stated that a widespread and audacious conspiracy was rampant in the west of Ireland. Mr. Birrell said that cattle had been driven off farms in a number of individual cases, but the Government had no evidence of a widespread I conspiracy, though there was cause for considerable anxiety in certain limited areas.
(Received May 31, 1.8 a.m.) London, May 30. At the opening of the King's County quarter sessions yesterday, Judge Curran said that although officially reported to be peaceable, the county was never in a worse state of disruption than now.
