MEETINGS.

ONEHUNGA METHODIST CHURCH. The anniversary soiree in connection with the Methodist Church, Onehunga, and the welcome meeting to the recently-appointed pastor, the Rev. R. -Taylor, took place last evening, .when there, was. a largo attendance. Mr. J. Mxtrgatroyd presided. In addition to several addresses of welcome by local clergymen and members of the church, a musical programme was rendered by the j choir. I I ST. JOHN AMBULANCE ASSOCIATION. j On Tuesday evening a meeting of those ; interested in forming a class for men in connection with the St. John Ambulance Association was held- at the' Municipal Chambers at Onehunga. Dr. , Scott and Mr. William Rattray, secretary of the Auckland Centre, wero present, and explained ,the 'scope and value of the lectures. Those present formed' themselves into . a committee for.the purpose of enrolling members, after which the meeting was adjourned for a week. This evening Dr. Tresidder will give the first lecture to ladies at' the Presbyterian schoolroom. Otiehunga, and on Wednesday next Dr. Eleanor Baker will give the first lecture to ladies at' the office of the Centre, Mercantile Chambers. On the following Friday Dr. Murray will give the first lecture to men at the same place..
