ENTERTAINMENTS

OPERA HOUSE. Fuller's Vaudeville Company was again well patronised last night. The programme is an exceptionally good one, and admirably suited to the tastes of the lovers of variety. Miss Nelly Power is highly successful in her serios, and Doris Baker, a juvenile seirio and dancer, was encored. The Lewis Sisters sing and dance in both parts. "Beck" painted two oil paintings upside down in five minutes. This is a very clever performance, and was loudly applauded. .: The Stagpooles cause great laughter with their comedy sketch. Mertoii and Manton, Bob Lloyd, Ted Stagpoole, Lucy Lavinia, Amy Blackie, and others also appeared. Some clever living pictures were also shown by the Warwick bioscope. v V ORGAN RECITAL AT ST. BENEDICT'S. Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather, there was a fair attendance at the organ recital at St. Benedict's Church last evening, where Mr. J. Maughan Barnstt gave another fine programme on the new organ recently installed in the chuii.h. The proceeds were in aid of the organ fund, and another recital will be given this evening. Last evening's recital was fine in every way, and the items inoluded selections from Handel, Mendelssohn, Schubert, and- Bach. The organ is a very fine. instrument, and in the hands of a musician like Mr. Barnett it gave forth of the best. Mr. Barnett's execution was admirable. It is needless to individualise the items, for the merits of each were well brought out, the sharp, sustained, and subdued notes being all given with fine effect, together with the concerted passages. The items rendered last evening were:—Concerto in P (Handel); Andante con moto, from Italian Symphony (Mendelssohn); " Ave Maria " (Schubert); Prelude and Fugue in D (Bach); "In Paradisum " (Dubois); Improvisation; Fantasie de Concert (Coellarts); Chanson d'etc (Lemare); march, in E flat (Wely). The programme for this evening includes several numbers from the masters. A performance of the sacred drama, "St. Patrick," will be given in St. Matthew's Parish Hall this evening.
