DEATH UNDER CHLOROFORM.

Palmerston North, ' Monday. An inquest was held to-day touching the death of John Teeney, flaxmiller, who j crushed his finger in a stripper at Kai- ' ranga on the 17th inst., and underwent an operation for the removal of the'finger on Saturday morning. He died under chloroform. A verdict was returned that death was due to paralysis of the heart, due to chloroform poisoning, though every care was taken in administering it.
