PROPOSED NEW BOROUGH.

[BY telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT.] Waihi, Saturday. A* public meeting, convened by the Borough Promotion Committee, was held at Karangahake last night (Mr. E. J. Kitching presiding). Mr. W. J. Tyerman detailed the steps taken and benefits likely to accrue as the result of converting the district into a borough, and a resolution approving the action of the committee was adopted by a large majority.
