At the inquest on Robert Douglas, aged 67, an unmarried man, who died in the hospital as a' result of injuries sustained owing to a dray passing over Mm on Monday, a verdict of accidental death was returned. Rain has set in, and the weather is cold and wintry. Chkistchukch, Saturday. Oscar Robert Blair pleaded guilty at the Police Court to-day to forging and uttering two cheques, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. :■'■■ Westpokt, Sunday. . Otaki boasts a prodigy, the twelve-year-bid son of a phrenologist, who has trained the youngster's intellect on a system of his own. The other evening the boy delivered an oration in the Otaki Town Hall on the amazing thesis. " Who are Wu, and what are you?'- He spoke in a^full tone, and his delivery was splendid, according to the Mail, and he pulled up sound and well. The phenomenon is further prepared to meet in the boxing arena any lad of his own age and weight in the colony. He has never; been "beaten with the gloves, and claims to be the champion boy boxer of the colony^
