• COROMaNDEL, Friday. THE monthly meeting of the hospital trustees has been held, Mr. Swindle* prepresiding. The Hon. James McGowan intimated that he was unable to advise the trustees as to the merits of a certain make of ambulance. Messrs. Walker and Burgess advised that the existing by-laws .could.*, be adopted by resolution, and making necessary alterations. It was resolved that the by-laws hitherto in use be adopted by'the trustees. With the .object of affording country, subscribers greater . advantages, it was resolved that the mileage payable by subscribers more than three miles from the hospital be Is per mile (one way), the balance to be paid by the trustees. The medical officer reported that there had been 12 patients in the hospital during the past month, of whom seven were s,til! inmates, and there had been one death. A total of 155 out-patients V received 457 attendances. Accounts amounting to £93 4s 3d were passed for payment. ; The following are the aggregates in the recent three-days' match for the prize presented by. Captain Home (handicaps are included in the Lance-Corporal Lindsay, a/5; Private Egan, 265; Private Brown, 265; Sergeant Gatland. 2-!5; Captain Home, 233; Private Cleave, 226: Lieutenant Gatland. 210; Private Hhodes, 207. J At a; meeting held last evening it was decided to erect a miniature rifle range in the Drill Hall. Shooting will be commenced on Saturday for a trophy presented by Lieutenant Gatland. Handicaps will be allotted, and the trophy has to be won twice in succession or three times at intervals. ,;,;.;. •;:
