■■'.■'. .■■-■■■■:.' •■: Dargaville, Friday, In* reference to the statement made by Dunediri carpenters as to the exportation from Kaipara of kauri logs to Australia, it has "been ascertained that the export figures areln 1905, to Melbourne, 137,876 ft; to Sydney, 52,195 ft. In 1906, to Sydney, 52,586 ft. The export duty is three shillings per 100 ft, and the quantity exported is getting less .yearly. ...<.■".
