REMUERA ROAD BOARD.
An* ordinary meeting of the llemuera I load Board was held la -1 evening, and the following members were present : Messrs. S. •1. Dickson, Kmi Bond, ('. A. Cawkwell. and Brvin. Dust Nuisance: The town clerk of tin 4 Auckland City Council wrote stating that the City Council had adopted the amended proposal of the Tramways Company so far as it. applied to the city of Auckland and snbjeet, to details being mutually arranged lie Council, the letter stated, had decided to reduce the price of water supplied to local bodies lor watering purposes to 6d per 1000 gallons. Consul' of the matter was deferred for three months. 'Bus rime-table: The Auckland Klectric Tram Company forwarded a letter from Messrs. Pullan and Armitage suggesting an alteration m the 'bus service. The suggesions were that, the half-past twelve ]"m. 'bus from the ear terminus should leave at twenty-five minutes to eleven a.m., and that the 'bus returning from Orakei Road should leave at five minutes past eleven a.m. instead of a quarter to one p.m. The alteration was agreed to. Donation to Parnell Fire Brigade: It was tiauimousiy decided to donate £3 3s to the funds of the Pa moll Volunteer Fire Brigade. This brigade turns out. to any rail of fire in the Reniuera district.
Tenders: Th i tendors were received for the annua! cartage contract, and that of Mr. J. I'each was accepted. The other tenderers were Mr. .1. ,1. Craig and Mr. Hi", gins. Notice of Motion : Mr. K. Bond gave notice of motion, "That tho price of water should bo reduced from Is 6d to Is 3d n<>r 1000 gallons." 1 Accounts: General accounts amounting to £141 2s 4d were passed for payment. The waterworks account, amounting' to £366 lis, was also passed for payment.
