EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

Blenheim, Saturday. The result of the thirty-second week of the egg-laying competition shows that i.be eggs numbered 2305, making the grand total 68,143. The highest pens for the week were;— Thomson, with 55; Steere, 33: Ball, 33; Wairau Flour Mill, 32; Leger, 32 (all white Leghorns). The leading pens to date : —Brookes, with 911; the A. and P. Association, 895; J. Hodson, 862; Marlborough Hotel, 838; Brawn Poultry Farm, 836 (all white Leghorns). Chbistchtrch, Saturday. Tho weekly statement in connection with the Utility Poultry Club's second egg-laying competition at Lincoln College shows that a total of 1209 eggs were laid during the week ending December 21, making the grand total to date 38,109. Tho best totals for the week were:—M. Blanch's silver Wvandottes, 32; W. E. Jones' white Wyandottes, 27; A. L. Webster's silver Wyandottes. 25; D. M. Peek's black Orpingtons, 23; H. Pannell's buff Leghorns, 23; D. A. Sturrock's white Leghorns. 23: W. Riohing's silver Wyandottes, 22. The highest totals to date are:—M. Blanch's silver Wyandottes, 753; J. Ashton's silver Wyandottes, 666; F. O'Brien's silver Wyandottes, 629; Mrs. Gordon's brown Leghorns, 597; H. Walton's white Orpingtons, 577; J. Packman's silver Wyandottes, 577: H. Pannell's buff Leghorns, 575; J. Mills' rosecombed brown Leghorns, 553.
