PATENT MEDICINE LAWS.

DEPUTATION TO VICTORIA'S

AGENT-GENERAL,

By Telegraph.Press Association— Copyright.

London, December 21. A deputation of the London Chamber oil Commerce waited on Mr. Taverncr yesterday and complained of the injustice of being obliged to disclose trade secrets of patent medicines under the regulations of Victoria's Pure Foods Act.

Mr. Taverner replied that neither the Act nor the regulations require the disclosure of a detailed formula, only a statement on the label where drugs contain the ingredients mentioned in the regulations and in the case of disinfectants detailed instructions for use are necessary.
