FUND TO SAVE ANGLICAN
SCHOOLS.
London, December 21.
The Bishops of London and South"ivark are appealing for £50,000 to save the Anglican schools that are now threatened with being closed. The Daily News claims that it is possible to close 1000 of the "voluntary schools by insisting on their conformity with the equipment and sanitation arrangements required in schools of the county councils.
(Received December 23, 4.45 p.m.) London, December 22. The National Passive Resistance Committee has issued a manifesto, wherein it threatens a strong revival of the movement.
