CHINA AND AUSTRALIA.
SPEECH OF THE CHINESE COMMISSIONER. By Telegraph.Press Association.—Copyright. Sydney, November 2. Hwako-HOU-chbxg, Chinese Special Commissioner, was entertained at a banquet by the Chinese commercial community last night. In the course of his speech lie said they recognised in China that the AngloSaxon was noted for fair dealing, and consideration lor the oppressed of mankind; therefore they felt confident that if at any time any of his countrymen had any grievances, they would receive every consideration from the Government of this country. He trusted his mission would conduce to the building up of relations of enduring respect and profit between Australia and China.
