On the-, fifth bead they were 11 points ahead. On , the ltith .head Queensland held the visitors, who gained only one point. Scores: New Zealand, 85; Queensland, 73. The Queenslanders then begun a forward- move, 'and on the 20th head were three behind their opponents. New Zealand, however, checked their move, and gradually drew away. The winners were heartily congratulated, and concluded with a Maori war cry. The visitors were to-night entertained by the Queensland As- ■ sociation at a dinner.
