AUCKLAND RAILWAYS.
Sir, —In the various accounts published by you of deputations of Auckland members to the Hon. Mr. Hall-Jones one thing stands out most prominently, viz., , the unsympathetic,. oven hostile, attitude invariably taken , up by that Minister. Every statement made by any of the deputation is questioned or contradicted, and one must come to the con* 1 elusion that the Hon. Mr. Jones will do as little as lie can to promote Auckland rail--1 ways. And yet men like Poole,' Stallworthy, Poland, and others will tamely'submit and even lick the hand that smites them. Oh, for a spark of manliness amongst some of our representatives! Sickofit. : s
