The spectators of the motor race, cut the wire netting protecting the course, and recklessly refused to move until the cars were almost upon them. The race cost altogether £240,000. Seventy cars were engaged, and they 1 cost £85,000. The American cars i vnre outclassed. Last, year the race was won by M. Hennery, of France, with an 80-h.p. Darraoq.
