ST. GEOKGE V. KARANGAHAKE. The match between Karangahake and St. George's, the final of the season, was played at Etmuera on Saturday, a fair attendance being present. The reds secured from the bully, and passing well among the forwards again looked dangerous, but Bryers. in goal, removed the danger. Intercepting a pass, Young made a no opening for the whites, and passing between .lewery, Barring, ahil Montgomery transferred play to St. George's end, but Westbury and Gossett/ stopped well. Good work by Young. Simpson, and Noonau ended in the latter taking a shot, but the ball struck the post and went outside. The whites continued the attack, but the reds' backs, Slater, West bury, and Gossett, were doing good work, and Hay anti Steele then * passed to Cuff, and taking the hall well up the field carried play to Karang!»hake'e circle, wfiero Stone scored. St. Gcorgje's continued to have the best of the play, but good work by Young removed the danger. Passing to ->j, < Noonan the left wing dribbled well down the ! , field, and'centring well Simpson took a shot ' and scored. For some time the liarangahake forwards attacked strongly, but Noonan prevented any further score, and Wostbury, with a good shot caused play to travel to the ft whites' goal. .
