RECIPROCITY WITH CANADA.

[BT TELEORATp.— CORRKSI'OXDEXT.] Christchurch, Wednesday. Mr. Rick, the second Canadian Exhibition Commissioner, lias arrived in Gbristchurch. He strongly favours reciprocity between Canada and New Zealand. In conversation with a Press reporter he said:—"Take, for instance, your wool. We want fine wool to combine with our coarser wool. Instead of sending your wool to England in its natural state, you could send it to us in yarn. Another, great item would be in frozen mutton. You have some of the finest mutton in the world, and there is nothing to prevent your sending it to us in large quantities. In exchange we can give you hard wheat to mix with your softer grain, which requires to be done. We can send you timber. Of apples, which you import largely from California, we can send you the finest quality. With an ' All Red' line arranged for, I think it would be easy to arrange also for a reciprocal interchange of products, on a basis of mutual benefit." . t ,
