REDUCING THE ENGINEERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright (Received September 18. 10.59 p.m.) London, September IS. The War Office, with a view to reducing the strength of the Royal Engineer corps, has suppressed the continuance of men in the service beyond a period of "-'l years, and those who have already completed that period are to receive five months' notice.
