OBITUARY.

[BY TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION..! Westport, Tuesday. Mr. James Lynch, barrister and solicitor, died this morning.

Another o'd identity lifts passed from out midst, in the person of Mr. Hai'' n y Web* ster, of Moimt Albert, who died yesterday afternoon. He arrived in Auckland in 1852 by the ship Catharine Stewart Forbes. He was about the first photographer here, and did n. thriving business, taking most of the prominent officers and men in the army at the time of the Maori war. Later lie removed to Taranaki, where he carried on the business of chemist. Of late years his sight had failed him, and he had lived » very retired life at his home at Mount Albert. Mi. Webster, at the time of his death, wan in his 89th year. His wife predeceased him some nine years. He leaves uo family.
