HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.

.Messrs. Mai'Maiiox's Company will present the successful .production 'of "The Executioner's Daughter" this evening for the last [time. The new play "The Price of Sin" is to be produced for* the first time in New Zealand to-morrow evening. The management will place (he production on the stage with every attention to spectacular requirements. There was again'a good attendance last night. ________ OPERA* HOUSE. . There was a large audience* at the Opera House last night. The "star" turn this week is undoubtedly that of the Power Brothers. Their wonderful feats on the tight wire received great applause. Loydall and Berry gave a sketeh which created great amusement. The Three Starrs were warmly appreciated for their dainty singing "and dancing. The • singing of Miss Dorothy L'Estrange was well received. Carl Collier was encored for his comic songs. The Drisoolls, as usual; created much laughter by their songs and witticisms. The programme concluded with The Lost Child" by the Warwick bioscope. , . NEWTON BAND OF HOPE. ~ A "ladies' evening" in connection with the Newton Public Band of Hope was hold ,in the Foresters' Hall. Newton, la&t evening. Mrs. '(Rev.) Jas. Wilson presided over a large attendance. The programme was contributed by the ladies,. MissPulman being the accompanist. The first part of the programme opened with an overture by Misses Pulmau and M. Johnson, and a song, "Idle Words," was sung by Miss Ada Kirk. Miss Shaw gave a recitation, and Miss C. Fleming gave a splendid exhibition of fancy clubswinging. She was loudly applauded for her performance. Songs were rendered by Misses Shaw,' Fernandez, and Ada Kirk, and recitations were given by Misses Burnett and Sinithson. During the evening Sister Kenneth delivered a temperance address..
