SENSATIONAL INCIDENT.

TREE FALLS ACROSS A BUSH CAMP. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ' Kawiiia, Monday. An exceptionally heavy gale blew on Friday night. At Kawaroa a party of bushfellers had a narrow escape from death. A tree near by was blown down, and fell across the camp, wrecking it. Five men were asleep, but the tree missed them all, though one man named Wliatu was struck on the arm by the broken ridge pole, which inflicted a nasty break and bruises on other parts of the body. He proceeded to Kawhia, where he was attended to by Dr. Jenkins.
