WAIKOUAITI LICENSING CASE.
COMMITTEE DIRECTED TO HEAR APPLICATION. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Monday. In the licensing case, Outred v. Kendell and others (members of the Waikouaiti Licensing Committee), Mr. Justice Cooper gave a lengthy judgment, holding that the refusal of the committee to grant a renewal of plaintiff's application for an accommodation license at Waianakarua must be set aside. A mandamus was issued directing the committee to hear and determine the application. 'Hie elected members of the committee (a prohibition committee) were ordered to pay 10 guineas costs, in addition to disbursements, to be ascertainedj by the registrar.
