The mailsteanw Sonoma is due from Sydney early this morning, and leaves at three p.m. for Pago Pago, Honolulu, and San Francisco. The steamer was detained at Sydney for general overhaul, consequent upon her long lay up at San Francisco, but is now in good order, and should make time-irf)le run to San Francisco. ; The Ventura, which left San Francisco on June 21 with the British mails of London -date June 9, having been delayed for '32' hours on her voyage to Honolulu, is not •expected to reach Auckland until to-morrow : morning. She leaves tor Sydney on discharge of cargo.
