A LAST HANDSHAKE. NEW ZEALAND'S CURRENT EVENTS. The deffth of the Right Hon. R. J. Seddon, who was for 13 years Premier of New Zealand, is an event of deep and .mournful, in-terest-to all. The late Premier was a personality not only in New Zealand, but throughout the whole Empire, and the pictures which appear in the current issue of the Weekly News dealing with his life and career will be of particularly wide interest both at home and abroad. With the number is issued a full-page portrait of the late Mr. Seddon in the form ot a Special Supplement. The picture, which is (rein a recent photograph; is a striking likeness, and' will be treasured in memory of New Zealand's great statesman. The portrait is specially prepared for framing, and should find a place in every New Zealand home," while it is eminently suitable for sending to friends abroad by the outgoing mail.

Other pictures in the collection comprise scenes in the life of the late Premier during his-long and eventful career, and include groups of the Premier and Now Zealand Cabinet Ministers, character studies of Mr. Seddon, the Premier and family in South Africa, Mr. and Mrs. Seddon after the Premier's arrival from England, and an excellent full-page picture showing the Premier and a group of New Zealand legislator in the lobby of the Parliament Buildings, Wellington, together with many other vi*w« of interest. The number is of special value both as a pictorial and literary record of the life of the late Premier. A complete history of the life and career of Mr. Seddon appears in the issue, which for that reason alone is bound to be in great demand.
