BOWLING.
1 tie Easter bowling tournament promoted by the Auckland Bowling Association passed off very successfully. Some exceedingly good play was shown and many of the frames were close. The- only disappointing feature of the tournament was the lack of feupport accorded it by country clubs, there being only two competing. The championship fours match was won by Dingle's team from the Auckland Club, with Kilgour's four coming .second. The play off between these two teams produced some fine shots, especially by Dingle and Brookes, of Auckland. The Invitation Fours was won by a Carlton team skipped by Holmes, a Ponsonby team .skipped by Brown being second. The final of the Invitation Pairs has yet to bo completed and the play off will tak<s place today between Eagloton's team and McGregor's. The success of the Auckland Club's team in the full rink, is only confirmation of the form shown by the senior club's representatives in the pennant competition. The Auckland Club has won both banner and shield two seasons and apparently has resumed its ancient ascendancy.
