[BY telegraph.OWX CORRESPONDENT.] Aim, Saturday. The monthly meeting of the Waihi Hospital trustees was held oil Friday evening. The resignation of Nurse Rita Graham was accepted with regTet. The town clerk wrote advising that the Hospital Board had passed! the sum of £900 for the maintenance of the hospital. It was decided to thank the Premier for his proposal that the Board should take a number of probationers for the purpose of being trained, the Government pav- j ing £25 per annum towards the keep of i each probationer. The matter was referred j to the House Committee for consideration. ! The appointments of Dr. Oiaridge as medi- I cal superintendent, and Drs. Craig and ! Robertson as assistant- officers, were I confirmed. It was decided to send a testi- i monial to ex-Matron ilurrav. Messrs. J. ! Henderson, J. Hume, J. Brown, and chair- ; man were appointed a House Committee, i Accounts amounting to £233 16s 10d were ! passed for payment. A donation of £10 ! was received from the Waihi engine-drivers. ' Messrs. Donaldson, Clark, and King were ! appointed to canvass the town for annual i subscribers.
