MEETINGS.
ONEHUNGA BUILDING SOCIETY. The 32nd annual meeting of the Onehunga Perpetual Land, Building, and Investment Sociotv was held at the secretary's office, Queen-street, Onehunga, on Friday night. There was a large attendance of shareholders. The secretary (Mr. E. J. Gatland) read the report, -which stated that the society's business for the past year had established "Vec'ord exceeding . f>f '••vyious years. •''The balance remaining in hand, artei mu.ting shareholders' accounts with interest at the rate of 5i per cent, per annum, had enabled the directors to place the property liquidation account on a perfectly sound basis. This was a matter for congratulation, as the account had caused the directors great anxiety for a number of years past. The cash statement showed receipts totalling £10,391 7s 7d, and a credit, balance in banik and on hand of £695 4s Id. Messrs. 11. Murdoch. A. Kobli, and Geo. Yause. retiring director?, were re-elected. Tin; officers for the incoming year aro: President, Captain Tiios. Farnail; vice-president, Mr. Alex, ltobb; directors, Messrs. H. Murdoch, H. J. Davies, Geo. Yause, J. E. Kelsall, S. Barr, .T. eill. .las. Robb, the. president and vice-president; secretary, Mr. K. .T. Garland; solicitor, Mr. F. W. Brookfield; auditors, Messrs. Chs. A. Jonas, and S. J. Brookfield.
