WELLINGTON RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING. [BY TF.LEGRAFH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Welmvgton, Wednesday. It is estimated thai the Wellington Racing Club will make between £4000 and £5000 profit over its recent summer meeting. WAIPA RACING CLUB. The annual meeting of the Wnipa Racing Club was held on Monday evening last. Mr. George Ahier was voted to the chair. The balancesheet in connection with the last race meeting showed a credit in hand of £6. It was unanimously decided to hold the race meeting this vear on March 28. The secretary reported that the sum of £30 would be forthcoming from the bookmakers. The following officers were elected : —President. Mr. William Taylor; vice-president, Mr. F. W. Lang: stewards. Messrs. F. Gibson, C. ,J. Storev. A. H. Storev, J. Teddy, H. Weal, T. Bond, Jos. Batlmrst, J. B. Teasdale, George Ahier. J. Jackson, and A. Hyde; committee, Messrs. .1. H. Scott, J. Middlebrook, 11. J. Greenslade, M.H.R., F. Taylor, J. Pollard, M. Gorrie, F. McOovern, F. Hen wood, .T. 11. Lyons, K. MeCabe, J. Cavanagh, F. Jones; secretary, Mr. M. S. Laurie: judge. Mr. James Taylor; starter, Mr. C. O'Connor; liandicapper, Mr. R. Wynvard; clerk of scales. Mr. Charles Hovte; clerk of course, Mr. J. Pollard. The programme for the annual race meeting was drawn up. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. William Taylor for tho use of his course. The secretary was instructed to have the necessary repairs to the buildings on the course attended to.
Nominations for all events to be run at the Matamata Racing Club's meeting close to-day.
