TARIFF REVISION.

MAY BE DEALT WITH NEXT SESSION. The question of tariff revision was brought before the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday in a letter from the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, which suggested that in view of the probability of the matter being dealt with by the Government next session the Auckland Chamber might co-operate with the Industrial Association in regard to making suggestions as to desirable changes. It was pointed out that thero was no industrial association in Auckland, and Mi. W. J. W. Philson suggested that the matter might b®- considered by a conference of delegates from the Chamber, the Employers' Association, and the Trades and Labour Council. After some discussion the matter was referred to the Imports Committee to deal with. In the course of the discussion Mr. M. M. McCallum said that whilst in Wellington recently he had been credibly informed that the Government was determined to deal with the subject this year.
