At a meeting of the Bowling Club last night the- question of connecting outside club* with Waihi was discussed. It was agreed that the matter stand over pending information regarding affiliation with the union. With regard to the presentation of trophies, it was agreed that bowls would be the most suitable to offer. The 'J.P." Company played at Paeroa last night and Waihi to-night.' The excellent performance of the company delighted the large audiences. The company close their Ohinemuri season to-morrow night. The fortnightly meeting of Court Waihi, A.0.F., was held last night, when the following officers wore installed: —Chief Ranger, Bro. Barrett: S.C.R., Bio. ,Manns; S.W., Bro. Dance; J. 8., Bro. Cornthwaite. The annual report showed that 59 new members had been initiated during the year. After distributing sick pay amounting to £134 13s 4d and funeral allowances £60, the total value of tho funds to date amounted to £764 4s Sri. A new piano has been purchased and placed, in the hall.
