A SYDNEY MURDER CASE.
A WOMAN CHARGED WITH POISONING. By Telegrapk Press Association Copyright. (Received January 0, 1.10 a.m.) Sydney, January 8. A woman named Annie Johnston was committed for trial to-day for the wilful murder of Harry Diamond, a prominent athlete, by administering to him an overdose of morphia. They had visited several hotels together, and subsequently Diamond was found in an unconscious state in the street, and died shortly afterwards. Johnston is addicted to the taking of morphia, and a. quantity was found in her possession. The deceased is a brother of Diamond, the New South Wales cricketer, who received the news of the death of his brother when playing for his State against Smith Australia, a week ago.
