A REDUCTION ANNOUNCED. By Telegraph Press Association.—Copyright. r London, December 13. • Thk Suez Canal Company has decided from January 7 to reduce its rates 75 centimes per ton. This reduction will mean a saving to the Peninsular and Oriental Company alone of £30,000 yearly. The present rate of transit charged by the Suez Canal Company is eight francs 50 cents per ton, this rate being a reduction from the nine francs. charged* before January 1, 1903. The receipts in 1903 were £4,144,812.
