| An uncommon catch was made recently I by the lighthouse-keepers at Cape Palliser, ; m the form of a ribbon fish, the measured length of which was 14ft 6in. After a few attempts and much wetting, the fish was landed alive, but, being so far away from the township, it could not be preserved intact, so supplied the finders with fresh fish for a day or two. For refusing to deliver a sample of milk to an inspector, a milk vendor was fined '. £7 10s at the Central Court, .Sydney.
