Regarding the Teachers' Superannuation Bill, the Executive of the North Canterbury Educational Institute has, -unanimously passed the following resolutions: — (1) " That this meeting expresses its keen disappointment that the admittedly moderate proposals put forward by the Superannuation Conference, in Wellington, have not been given effect to, and urges that the Bill now before the House be amended in the direction of, as far as possible, giving effect to these proposals." (2) " That the Bill, as it at present stands, offers little or no inducement for teachers over 40 years of age, to support the scheme." [bt telegraph.— correspondent,] Wellington, Wednesday. The provisions of the Teachers' Superannuation Bill have, it is stated, fallen far short of giving general satisfaction to the teachers of the'colony, who had expeoted more liberal provision to be made on their behalf. There is a possibility of the measure being referred to the Education Committee, in order that the position, of the scheme, from an. actuarial point of view, may Ire determined.
