WEDDINGS.
A wedding in which much local interest was taken was celebrated at Pirongia, on Wednesday last, between Mr. Thomas Claude Grace, son of the late. Mr. John Marie Grace, and Miss Marie Theresa Papesch. The bride was beautifully dressed in cream merino and lace, with embroidered veil and wreath of orange blossoms. She was given away by bet brother, Mr. Herman Papesch, and the bridegroom, was supported by his brother, Mr. V. Grace. The church was filled to overflowing by the. friends of the young couple, who are both popular favourites here. A large number of guests were entertained after the ceremony by the bride's mother and brothers, at their residence.[Own Correspondent.]
A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Roman Catholic Church at Kiliikihi on Wednesday last. The contracting parties were .Miss .Nora Mary Collins, eldest daughter (it Mrs. K. Collins, of Rosscarbery, Ireland, and Mr. F. 1), Corboy, second son of Mis. Mary Corboy, of Kiliikihi. The church whs nicely decorated. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Tormey, in the presence of a. large number of relatives and friends. The bride was attired in a handsome dove-coloured .silk voile, trimmed with silk lace and insertion, and wore a grey felt hat- trimmed with orange blossoms, and a large white feather. She was given away by her cousin, Mr. J. (('Sullivan, and was attended by three bridesmaids—Miss May Verner (cousin of the bridegroom), who was attired in a pretty creamy silk, trimmed with silk insertion, and wore a white felt hat. Misses Allen and Molloy Corboy (neices of the 'bridegroom) wore pretty dresses of cream nun's veiling, and cream felt hats'. Each wore a gold brooch, the gilt of the bridegroom. Air. A. Corboy, brother of the bridegroom, acted a;- best man. After the ceremony the wedding parly adjourned to the residence of the bridegroom's mother, where a sumptuous repast was partaken of, and several happy .speeches were made. The newly-married couple left for Auckland by the afternoon train, and after thf honeymoon they will settle down ill Kiliikihi. During the evening a dance was held in the hall.—[Own Correspondent.]
