ALLEGED ASSAULTS ON WOMEN.

Jnvercargiix, Thursday. Two men, named Prentice and Finnerty, charged with committing a criminal assault upon an old and feeble woman, on the evening of Good Friday, were committed for trial, bail being disallowed, as the accused had no stake in tire country. . Charged further with assaulting two married women in the street, previously, they were remanded till to-morrow, when another man named Rodger* will also be charged with the latter offence.
