April &, 9.05 p.m.) London, April 4. The Westmlnstei Gazette publishes ai> interview with Mr. Alfred Deakin, of. Melbourne, on colonial preference. The Gazette, commenting on the interview, says that Mr. Chamberlain's chief supporter in Australia is only able to show that the Motherland would gain a sort of irreducible minimum of advantage under fiscal preference.
