MR. KINSELLA AND MILKING IN NEW ZEALAND.
TO THE EDITOU. Sir, —I sun glad to see a Waikato milker has called in question il 10 remarks reported to have been made by Mr. Kinsclla at Carterton. The remarks wore most uncalled for, and should never have been made by one holding l the position Mr. Kinsella does, unless his desire was to daman© the good name our colony has now attained in the world's market by hor production of firstclass butter. Had there been the slightest foundation for the remarks made, which I deny, his proper and correct course would have been to sc-e the heads of all companies and seo how such a sad state of affairs as be depicts could be rectified. I believe it is the general desire of all cow-milkers to support tho buttermakers in every way they can to enable them to keep up to the present high standard in buttermaking, and constant improvements are being made in milking sheds, yards, etc., to enable them to do so. One of our greatest troubles m winter or spring months is the mud to bo contended against where a number of cows are mustered morning and night, and if Mr. Kinsclla would kindly tell us ! how that is to be avoided ho would of more service to the colony and her p,ople than accusing them of being the dirtiest he had seen in his travels through dairying countries.—l am, etc., Heiwood Citisi'E. Mauku.
