THE SHOOTING SEASON.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,-I would like to call the attention of sporting men to the nearness of the Easter holidays and the general opening day for shooting imported game. I think if a meeting wore callcd and a petition drawn up and sent to Wellington wo might get the season opened on Good Friday. If granted it would be a great boon to lots of sporting men who cannot get holidays later on. Trusting some prominent sport will take this in hand.l am, etc., I.S March 10, 1905.
