AUCKLAND GRAMMAR SCHOOL BOARD.
The Auckland Grammar School Board 'met yesterday. Professor F. D. Brown presided, and there were also present: Professor A. ■ W. P. Thomas, Dr. Roberton, and Mr. P. M. Maekay. Mathematical Master: There were three applications for the position of mathematical master. Mr. 0. J. A. Griffin, who was educated at Christchurch Bovs' High School, and is a graduate of New Zealand University, with mathematical honours, was appointed. Mr. Griffin held the Sir Goorgo Grey scholarship at University College and the senior mathematical scholarship of the > University. ..*■,:/. Williamson Scholarship: These were : ; awarded to the following":— Susannah Wild- X man, Alfred G. Marshall, Hugh R. Kirker, Edna G. B. Lynch, and Christina Gray.
