Ho hoped before the session' ended, in' the early part of/: February, he would finally deal with the Arbitration Bill,, the Papua Bill, the Fraudulent Traces Marks Bill, and the Defence Act Amending! Bill. The last mentioned deals with the rf;» organisation of the military forces. H» would also introduce a Bill regulating the shipment of fruit. With reference to preferential trade the Government proposed to - give Mr. Deakin ait; opportunity of introducing the subject next session.
