THE KATHLEEN HILDA.
[by TELEGRAPH.— OWN correspondent.] Thames, Thursday. The barque Kathleen Hilda, -which grounded yesterday in the Thames River, below Kopu, whilst endeavouring to make her way into the gulf, floated off during last evening's tide, and is at present lying anchored in the river. Captain T. Bayldon, the harbourmaster, was instructed by telegram to-day from the Collector of Customs at Auckland, not to allow the barque to proceed to sea until she had first been examined by a. marine surveyor. The damage done to the Kopu Wharf on Tuesday night by the breaking away from her moorings of the barque Kathleen Hilda, will amount to a.bout £50. Captain Bayldon has, however, effected temporary repairs, with the fesult that the barque Empreza has been enabled to get alongside the wharf to load her cargo of timber.
