VITICULTURE AT BAY OF PLENTY.

[BY TELEGRArn.-- CO-RESPONDENT.] TAT7RANGA, Saturday. Mil. A. T. Potter, Government Viticulturist, has been paying this district a visit, and has inspected all the chief vineyards in the district. The vine* grown are reported to be in a satisfactory state, and yield well, and the wine produced is quite up to what might be expected. Very little disease was apparent in the vines, and a little judicious spraying would meet all requirements. Mr. Potter considers the district one of the best in the colony for viticulture and fruit-growing, the climate being most equable and favourable for all kinds of fruit-growing. . . .
