London*, January 25. The Tibetan general and c number of lamas met Major Younghusband and proposed impossible conditions, threatening opposition if the advance was continued. They offered favourable terms if tho mission would retire. When told that this was impossible, the general said trouble would ensue. Major Younghusband replied that ho desired s peaceful settlement, but was ready to meet; opposition. The lamas exhibit much' opposition to the expedition.
