The efforts of the Victorian Agricultural Department to secure for Victorian manufacturers and producers a chance to tender for the British Navy supplies has borne fruit. The Department has received a cable message from the Agent-General in London, stating that the Admiralty had advisee" him that tenders would shortly be called for next year's supplies of preserved meats for the navy. This message sets out further that contractors desirous of tendering should forward samples of their stock to, and nominate agents to Act for tliftm, jji Jiuglajid.
