AN ANNEXATION RUMOUR.

London, December 21. The Standard's Ottawa correspondent says that the Alaskan question, which was settled in favour of the United States, has set Sir Wilfrid Laurier, the Canadian Premier, thinking about the annexation of Newfoundland and Greenland, thus rounding off the Dominion. .As. regards Greenland, it will be necessary to negotiate with Denmark.
