During September the New Zealand Crown Mines, Limited, crushed and treated 2828 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £5475. This shows a decrease compared with the return for , the previous month, when 2926 ton? yielded £6012. Boring operations were resumed this morning, and the depth of the hole was increased, with the l|in bit, from 614 ft to. 623 ft. When the latter depth was reached a stoppage was made to case the hole with 2in tubing down to a depth of 614 ft.
