[by telegraph.--press association.] Westpoht, Sunday. The Westport Coal Company's output last week was 10,438 tons 2cwt.. Westport, Saturday. ■ The barque Aalborg^which recently arrived here from West Africa,, is loading coal for New Britain. : y A Westport firm has secured a contract for the conveyance of coal for the Antarctic relief ships, to-be delivered at Hobart. The barque Onyx will take the first cargo this month. GHEYMOtmr, Saturday. The coal exports for the week were : Blackball, 784 tons 3cwt; Brunner, 1182 tons lewt. TrMAntr, Saturday. At a meeting of shs.reholders of the Canterbury Farmers' Co-operative Association, he'd here to-day, a resolution, was passed authorising the issue of a further 2000 shares of £5 each. Gisbokne , Saturday. The Harbour Board to-day decided not to accept any of the tenders for the extension of the retaining wall, and the matter was further deferred until October 22. Considerable discussion took, place as to the quantity of cement necessary .to lie used for the concrete work. Wilson and Co. offered to quote for supplying cement manufactured in New Zealand. The whole question was adjourned to obtain further information, the idea being to carry out the work by day labour. . Napier, Saturday. Patrick Keegan was to-day fined £10, and costs, or two months' imprisonment, for tote betting.
